I.O.N (イ·オ·ン) is fantasy manga by Arina Tanemura that ran in Ribon from May to November 1997. It was published into one volume by Shueisha in December 1997 and for North America by Viz Media in April 2008.

The series was initially planned for only three chapters, but lengthen to six after Ribon requested it.[1] Tanamura penned a one chapter sequel to the manga for Ribon Fantasy Zokan Go, which was published on October 22, 2010.[2]

Ion Tsuburagi

the heroine of the series, named after positive ions. She happens to be a psychic and falls in love with Mikado Hourai.

Mikado Hourai

a high school student interested in psychic powers. He is the president of the Psychic Power Development Research Club. Mikado also hero-worships Psychic Man.

I.O.N was originally planned to be three chapters long. However, her editor kept increasing the length until it reached six.[1] It ran in Ribon from May to November 1997 and published into one volume by Shueisha. The manga was licensed for North American release by Viz Media in April 2008.

In the November 2010 issue of Ribon Fantasy Zokan Go[3], a sequel to I.O.N. was published.[2] I.O.N was published into bunkobon format on May 18, 2011[4], which includes the sequel chapter.[5] Volume 8 of Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura also includes the sequel.
