Sideicon-I.O.N-S

I.O.N was Arina Tanemura's first official series with six chapters. It was published in Ribon from May to November 1997, and collected into a single volume by the publisher, Shueisha in December 1997. The manga was planned to be just three chapters at first. Tanemura's editor increased the number to six eventually.[1]

Tanemura returned to the series in the Ribon Fantasy Zokan Go magazine with a one-shot in 2010.[2] The manga was republished in bunkobon format in 2011, including the one-shot. The English edition of volume eight of Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura includes the short chapter also.[3]

Viz Media published I.O.N in North America on April 1, 2008. The series is also published by Planeta DeAgostini in Spain and Egmont Manga & Anime in Germany.
