Ribon Original (RIBONオリジナル (りぼんオリジナル) Ribon Orijinaru) was a sister magazine to Shueisha's Ribon. The magazine was published quarterly from 1981 to 1992, before switching to bi-monthly in 1994. Ribon Original ended publication with its June 2006 issue. Ribon authors often published their first "one-shot" in Ribon Original.

Arina Tanemura debuted with "The Style of the Second Love" in the June 1996 issue of Ribon Original.[1] The same year, she published "Rainy Afternoons Are for Romantic Heroines" in the magazine. Tanemura periodically drew the cover art for Ribon Original after becoming a full-time Ribon artist.
