Ribon Original

Ribon Original (RIBONオリジナル (りぼんオリジナル) , Ribon Orijinaru) was a sister magazine to Shueisha's Ribon. The magazine was published quarterly from 1981 to 1992, before switching to bi-monthly in 1994. Ribon Original ended publication with its June 2006 issue. Ribon authors often published their first "one-shot" in Ribon Original.

Arina Tanemura debuted with "The Style of the Second Love" in the June 1996 issue of Ribon Original. The same year, she published "Rainy Afternoons Are for Romantic Heroines" in the magazine. Tanemura periodically drew the cover art for Ribon Original after becoming a full-time Ribon artist.
