"The Style of the Second Love" (2番目の恋のかたち (2ばんめのこいのかたち) Niban Me no Koi no Katachi) is the debut one-shot of Arina Tanemura.[1] It was published in the June 1996 issue of Shueisha's Ribon Original magazine.[2] The story was later included in Tanemura's short story collection, Short-Tempered Melancholic.

Mana Yamaguchi harbors a crush for Nishikawa, despite him being the boyfriend of her best friend, Yume. Meanwhile, Shigenobu Nakamura pursues a relationship with Mana. She resolves to forget Nishikawa before returning Nakamura's feelings.
